The Happy Book: April 9

Suzie's Test Kitchen: Blender Test #1 from Suzie Ridler on Vimeo.

I totally love the range of happiness! How cool is it that Suzie the Foodie's blender makes her happy! Yay, Suzie for venturing into the world of video. Your joy at this blender sure spreads the happy! Everyone be prepared though - the blender is loud, lol! Though nothing gets in the way of experiencing Suzie's joy. Thanks for sharing this!

I hope people are feeling inspired to create videos! You can do it! We love to see you.

I have been having some really wonderful conversations about how much people are enjoying The Happy Book adventure, especially when one of the books arrives on their doorstep! Maybe this week that will be you!

Just a Reminder: Make it Easy to Find Your Happy with Direct Links

It's so exciting to see what's making everyone happy each week. In order to make that really easy for everyone, whenever they're checking in, it's a great idea to add a direct link to your post, not simply a link to your blog. For example, it's easier to find Gemmy Girl's happy flowers of spring at this address: http://craftthesnark.blogspot.com/2010/03/happy-flower-friday.html than at http://craftthesnark.blogspot.com.

So let's check in with where The Happy Book is this week:
  • Bliss: The Bliss book has made it to Agenda Gal (blog to come) in Alaska!
  • Giggle: Carmen has the Giggle book in California!
  • Mirth: Ellecubed has The Happy Book in Toronto. She's been a bit under the weather but once she's up and about, the book will find it's way to Leah in Massachusetts!
  • Glee: Sunny has been having a blast with the book in Sedona! The Glee book is really moving and shaking (which isn't a surprise really!). Sunny is the seventh person in the circle to be playing with The Happy Book!
Let's keep sharing our happy:
  • Everyone's welcome to write a post about what made them happy this week and share it in the Mr. Linky below.
  • Come on by our Vimeo group to share a video of what makes you happy! It doesn't have to be perfect or edited or even have sound! Whatever makes you happy is just right. A moment of home video? Perfect. Your cat purring? Purrfect.
  • Or if photography's more your thing, catch a moment of happy and share it at our Flickr group called Share Your Happy. Come see what people are sharing! There's family and inspiration boards and rainbows and stars and pie!
  • And remember, you can absolutely get yourself your own copy to work through while waiting for the mail-around book to arrive!

The Happy Book: March 26

Some of you may have seen this video but it never fails to make me happy! I hope it has the same impact on you.

And I've got some more happy to share with you! Hopefully you received my email with a bit of an update on this extraordinary journey, most particularly that I've enlisted some merry-making help from the delightful Danette!

Danette will be in charge of Happy Book sightings. When you get the book, please, drop her a line. When you send it off, let her know too. She's super-friendly and a joy to connect to. Don't be surprised if she stops by and says hi as she keeps a gentle eye on the Happy trajectory!

So let's check in with where The Happy Book is this week:
  • Bliss: The book is packed up at Meg's in Australia ready to go to Agenda Gal (blog to come) in Alaska. Meg hasn't been well but she'll get the book off in the mail as soon as she can. We hope you're feeling better, Meg!
  • Giggle: My Creative Monsters has received the book in Colorado!
  • Mirth: Ellecubed has The Happy Book in Toronto.
  • Glee: The book has arrived in California and is with Crafty Fanny!

The Happy Book: March 19

What's the Happy Book mail-around?
Uploaded by 1writergrrl. -

This video is from Anj at 1writergrrl. It's awesome to see The Happy Book hanging out in your corner of the world, Anj! What a beautiful video. Is Anj inspiring everyone to dive in and try? You might just end up featured here too!

I think it's a great idea to get yourself a book and start playing along while our Glee, Mirth, Bliss and Giggle books are on their journey! We started this adventure in on a cold day in January with me bundled up and putting the books in the mail! I have to tell you the Glee group is really keeping the energy alive, keeping the book moving and grooving. Anj is sending it on to adventurer #6 in their group! Let's see if we can keep the momentum high and happiness flowing. And while the books fly, let's keep sharing our happy.

The Magical Trail of The Happy Book:

It looks like The Happy Books are in the air!
  • Bliss: The book is packed up at Meg's in Australia ready to go to Agenda Gal (blog to come) in Alaska. Meg hasn't been well but she'll get the book off in the mail as soon as she can.
  • Giggle: My Creative Monsters has just received the book in Colorado!
  • Mirth: Kathryn in the New Hampshire has sent the book to Ellecubed in Toronto.
  • Glee: The book is with 1writergrrl in Nevada, as we can see in the video! It will be heading next to Crafty Fanny in California!
When you receive the book and you see there's some removable goodies in there...
  • If the person before you added edible treats, eat them.
  • If you're sending something you specifically want the next adventurer to have, label it.
  • And if there are extra items like bookmarks or ATCs in the book, you can pick one to keep for yourself in exchange for you adding a little goodie (or two) to the package yourself. That way the beautiful flow keeps going. You get to keep a little treat. And you get to give a little treat.

    The Happy Book: February 26

Say hi, Jinx from Jamie Ridler on Vimeo.

Hey, everyone! I'm sharing with you a little bit of happy from my corner of the world today. Meet my cat, Jinx!

    Goodies in the Happy Book!

Now, I got a great question last week about The Happy Book. It seems that everyone's adding a whole lot of happy, including all kinds of treats. Yay! What a generous group! And so the question came in: do I get to keep any of these goodies?

    Let's do this:
    • If the person before you added edible treats, eat them.
    • If you're sending something you specifically want the next adventurer to have, label it.
    • And if there are extra items like bookmarks or ATCs in the book, you can pick one to keep for yourself in exchange for you adding a little goodie (or two) to the package yourself. That way the beautiful flow keeps going. You get to keep a little treat. And you get to give a little treat.
    Sound good?
